1. Muscle relaxers and beta blockers. When you get old and crippled enough they start passing out the good helpful shit. Who knew??

2. Moonlight and Sage oils. Specifically the Lucky Girl and Uncrossing spell oils, and the Dark Opium perfume roll on.

3. This Madewell leather zip bag that I found at the thrift store for $14. I have never had a more perfect carry-all in my life. I put an old Juicy Couture chain from one of the Daydreamer bags I used to have on it (that’s a fuckin throwback!) and will eventually get around to zhuzhing it up some more. That word is surprisingly hard to figure out how to spell at first btw.

4. Mona Awad’s Bunny. I purchased this book twice and I’ll be honest, it was almost kinda worth it. I bought it initially in paperback but between the lack of winter daylight and my poor vision I ended up buying the e-book so I could finish the last half. I can’t say it’s a favorite but I will say that I wanted to read it again almost immediately, for multiple reasons, so having a copy on my phone will be handy for that. I’m excited to read the sequel ‘we love you bunny’. I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews so I kinda can’t wait to see what I think.

5. Chess. I’ve alllllllllways wanted to know how to play chess. I’m obsessed with the look, sound, feel, history and aura of it all. The design, the shapes, the specific moves to remember, looking ahead to see the patterns and projections. God I love it. I’m still mostly only good on electronic games against computers but I’m making my way to the board soon.

6. Albums. Actual real put together albums. I’ve been so about the playlists for yeeeeeears that I’ve forgotten how good it is to listen to something from start to finish, exactly as the artist (presumably) wanted it to be heard. I decided that this year I would pick an album every day and listen to the whole thing. It’s also been a good practice in presence and intention. I’d like to branch out more into albums I don’t know at all, I’m excited to find new music, I feel like I’ve listened to everything I love to absolute death.

7. David Lynch. It was just recently the one year anniversary of his death and then just after that his birthday, so talk of him has been showing up a lot in my digital spaces which inspired me to re-rewatch Twin Peaks. I love the unsettling and terrifying mixed with weird, slow, quirkiness in his stuff. (Insert Miranda Priestley’s monologue about the word ‘stuff’)
